
Amjad M. Quadri is currently VP of Marketing and Business Development at Guidance Residential. Before moving into his current role, Mr. Quadri helped form advisory councils of local community leaders in three states and started two new offices, the latter which he supervised as Vice President of Business development and New Markets at University Bank(UIF). Mr. Quadri graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree from the college of Business in Information Decision Sciences. Before entering the world of finance, he worked in the information technology industry. He worked on Y2K conversion projects for several large corporations, including IBM, McKinsey & Company, and CNA. He then spent three years as a release engineer/project manager for Cyborg Systems, now owned by Hewitt Associates. Amjad's first foray into Islamic finance was as a field sales consultant for Guidance Financial Group. In his spare time, among other things, he has served as Vice President of one of the largest Mosques in the US.
Along with his career growth Mr. Quadri has always volunteered his time. He is currently on the board of Inter-faith council for peace and justice, helps coordinate Friday speakers for weekly community gatherings, on the board of the Alumni association that was able to fund a Chaplin for the University. He has previous done Friday night pre-teen basketball nights with guest speakers and pizza and a youth interfaith discrimination service that bought together multiple High school students for 1 year. He also served on the board of the oldest Islamic center in Chicago for 8 years and was the Vice president there for 3 years. He has delivered the Friday Sermons in Masjid’s in Chicago, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, California and Virginia.
