
Mr. John Vogel is a senior corporate and finance partner at the international law firm of Patton Boggs LLP, which is based in Washington, DC. He assists clients to navigate complex financings and capital market transactions, focusing on conventional and Islamic financings, in the United States and other countries.
Mr. Vogel has extensive experience working with emerging financial markets, particularly in the Middle East, where he has counseled clients who are party to structured financial transactions, project finance transactions and public-private partnerships. He has assisted clients in negotiations with U.S. and foreign private and public financial institutions to structure conventional and Islamic financings for private and public sector investment, real estate and infrastructure projects located in the United States and throughout the world. Mr. Vogel has worked with Government leaders of emerging nations in developing laws and regulations dealing with financial transactions.
Mr. Vogel has written numerous articles and participated in panels discussing Islamic Finance, and he is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
